Process
| 1. Students will compile a list of owls found on
each of the seven continents. They will designate which owls inhabit
more than one continent.
2. After exploring the many different species of
owls, each student will select an owl type to write a report on.
The reports will consist of:
3. Locate and write about at least five myths or legends written about owls. Tell why you chose each of these. 4. Following the research process, an owl pellet will be dissected as a culminating activity. Students will attempt to identify the owl's lunch. The worksheet will be completed. A short description of the dissecting process will be added. |

of the owl, as well as their eating habits.
As a result of this unit of study, students will have developed a respect for this bird of prey! |
